Been awhile since you've received a Tune-Up?
This Summer sure flew by fast and many of us up North are starting to think about putting our vehicles away in storage. The month of October has a few events left on our calendar, but not much after that. It seems like only a month ago there was so many events going on we didn't even have the time to send out a newsletter.

In this newsletter we wrap up the Summer Cruising season with a look back at all the photos from the events of the last few months. Also, for those of you who missed it or those that didn't that just want to relive the excitement we have an event review of the Sheridan Drive Nostalgia Cruise. This cruise was yet another successful ad hoc event organized through the RodandPiston.com Forums.

As the season winds down in Western NY we decided to organize the RodandPiston.com 1st Annual Go-Cart Race. We have been taking about doing this for what seems to be a couple years now, and what better way to cap off the Cruising season then a little fun with friends.

Hope you enjoy this issue of our newsletter and you'll probably be hearing from us next in mid November when we get back from our Annual Trip to the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

A night of fun go-cart racing with friends. If the weather is nice, bring your show cars. Afterwards, meet at Buffalo Wild Wings on Niagara Falls Blvd

$14 per person if you are going to race. Free to be a spectator

• RodandPiston.com. has also been moved to a new server (unfortunately a month or so of forum activity was lost in the move, which caused some confusion, but things seem back to usual now)
• The voting on pictures feature which was very popular on WNYCarClubs.com has been brought back on RodandPiston.com.
• Top 100 Photos section and Top 100 (Cars Only) Photo sections have been added
• Top Photos/Event sections added
• Some upgrades have been made to the Image Gallery Viewer to make it more user friendly
• An updated Order Prints feature has been implemented with automated PayPal Payment

• We also surpassed 10 Million historical Page views and are well on our way to 11 Million already

In the spirit of the good old day of Cruising, Frank from the Corvettes of Buffalo with the help of the RodandPiston.com forums organized in a few weeks a really great event. In years gone past people used to cruise down Sheridan Drive and hang out at Pat's Diner. In that same spirit over 100 cars cruised down Sheridan on September 10th with a Police Escort and everyone had a blast.

On September 20th many of us met at Alice's Kitchen to make plans for next years Cruise

So far decided there will be a 2nd Annual Sheridan Drive Nostalgia Cruise

Next meeting:
Wednesday December 6, 2006 (7pm?) - Anyone interested in helping organize and run the event is welcome.
